Nespresso pixie is a brand new design of Nespresso machine but with a very small footprint - ideal for the smallest kitchen. It is very simple to use and designed to work exclusively with Nespresso capsules. This innovative idea from nestle takes the hard work out of making your espresso. Pre-ground coffee is provided in individual hermetically sealed capsules so that it remains fresh up until the moment you use it. Nespresso capsules are available in a number of varieties from very strong to mild as well as a couple of decaffeinated coffees. The krups xn300d takes one Nespresso capsule at a time. All the user has to do is lift the metal lever, and the front of the machine slides forward allowing the user to drop a capsule into the slot. Close the lever and press one of the two coffee buttons - small or large cup. The machine does all the hard work for you delivering a perfect coffee every time. The xn300d is programmable and gives the user control over the amount of coffee dispensed into the cup. It automatically stops the water flow when the programmed quantity of coffee has been dispensed. When you next raise the lever the used capsule is dropped into an internal container for later disposal with no fuss or mess! other features of this machine include a special valve in the bottom of the water tank to prevent water running out when it is lifted off the machine, and a polished stainless steel cup platform on the drip tray.
