In the game Frosted Blooms, you play as an ambitious horticulturist looking to create the most harmonious and prestigious tulip garden in the Netherlands. The game takes place over 10 rounds, each punctuated by a succession of simple but deeply strategic actions. In turn, you start by moving the Flower token around the common board in order to choose a Landscape tile. This clever selection system, which allows you to leave or retrieve coins, introduces constant interaction between players and immediate tactical choices. You then add this tile to your personal garden adhering to landscape alignment rules, while anticipating the creation of strategic empty spaces. Once the tile is placed, you play a Landscape card with your hand. This determines your lap score based on the adjacent groups of elements (flowers of different colors or water areas), providing a very satisfying feeling of gradual construction and rising power. The card scoring system constantly renews priorities and pushes to adapt its plan to each round. The enclosed spaces formed in your garden welcome improvements: gardeners, barns or mills. These elements bring immediate bonuses and especially valuable victory points at the end of the game. In parallel, common goals related to landscapes or improvements can be claimed, but each type of lens is only accessible once, reinforcing tension and the race for opportunities.
