I have a combi microwave which has an oven but it doesn't get hot enough so I bought this air fryer after it was recommended by someone I know who has had it for two years and uses it almost daily and it still looks brand new and works perfectly. I chose to use silicon liners to cook food in. Not that easy to clean but back to this product. Skinny fries done in 20 mins, shook half way and alerted by beep from this air fryer at half time automatically, no setting required. Chicken thighs needed 25 minutes. Yes, guess you could put them in your oven if you have a lovely big oven but my kitchen is too small so I don't have one. I did a 20 mins test at 200 degrees on two whole sea bass fillets. It was my birthday. Anyway, one in my DeLonghi combi microwave (less than 6 months old and a new model) and one in my new Belaco. After 20 mins the one in combi microwave was not cooked. I despaired but as I had Belaco to check I was hesitant so pulled out the drawer and saw fish bit burnt to a crisp on the outside. Took it out and inside was cooked though I put it in round its other side to finish off the crispy skin for 6 minutes then done. So, for me in small kitchen on budget it is an excellent purchase. Literally put food in the silicon, slam in the drawer - as I am heavy handed not because it needs it - and wait 20 minutes depending on food cooking. Only issue for me is the noise of beep at half time and when finished. Is only one beep but is loud. Cooking noise isn't loud at all, my kettle and hairdryer are much louder. Easy to clean. Wish it came in white. Sick of black colour tech products. I am living on skinny fries and soup as it is Winter and am enjoying the crunch.
