Product Description Allies is an expansion for The Lord of the Rings Duel for Middle-Earth. It features various characters from J.R.R. Tolkien’s universe who will come to the aid of either the Fellowship or Sauron. Collect Power Tokens in each Chapter and use them to call upon your Allies and benefit from their effects. Review: The Allies expansion is a cheap and easy way to add more depth to the game - The Allies expansion adds in a new mechanic to the game that is easy to introduce and gives an extra layer of depth. Even though the offering is fairly basic, it is just a few cards and tokens, the gameplay works well and doesn't require much extra work to explain the new rules. It simply gives each player a set of allies to draw upon, and a new currency to make use of. This expansion comes in a single paper card pack which contains two sets of allies (one for each player), a set of power tokens, as well as rules cards explaining the expansion and each of the allies. It is worth noting that the pieces from this expansion don't fit nicely in the box like the original pieces do. The new cards are a unique size and won't fit in any of the compartments in the tray. The expansion can fit loose in the box and will just about close, but not as seamless as it could've been considering it has no box of its own.
