The depth and gameplay mechanics allowed this title to win the coveted As D'Or award in 2020 at the Cannes Game Festival. Perlae Imperii is the second expansion of Res Arcana. On a wild coast, an abyssal wizard prepares to dive into a magical backdrop in search of a pearl of power. Meanwhile, a domadraghi travels to Blood Island to track down an ancient dragon. The expansion adds the new Pearl type to the essences and extends the game to 13 victory points. New wizards, magical objects, monuments, places of power and artifacts further enrich the game. Perlae Imperii is playable with the base box alone or in combination with Lux et Tenebrae, the first expansion of Res Arcana. It is not a complete game. A copy of Res Arcana is required to play.
