Catan is in danger, the barbarians are landing… and you are up to 6 to be able to defend the island! The CATAN – Cities & Knights 5/6 player expansion lets you repel more invaders. Designed to expand the experience of the original expansion, it introduces all the necessary hardware to two additional players, without ever unbalancing the game's tactical richness. You will find: 2 trays City Improvement (Commerce, Science, Politics), 18 Trading Cards (Paper, Fabric, Coin), 12 knights and their helms, 6 city markers, 6 ramparts, 6 metropolises, 2 Castle tokens to manage the double towers, and their bases, 2 sheets Construction costs, reference cards, victory tokens, 2 storage boxes, 1 sheet of self-adhesive stickers for the material. Game mechanics evolve slightly to keep pace with more players. The player with Castle 1 starts his turn by rolling the 3 dice (event, production, trade), then he can exchange, build, activate his knights, improve his cities, play Progress cards. Then, the Castle 2 player acts, without raising the dice, but keeping all options open… except the use of the Alchemist. This fluid system avoids lengths in games for more than 4 players, while maintaining the interaction and strategic depth so characteristic of CATAN – Cities & Knights.
