It's made very well, and it looks good sitting on my shelf in my bedroom. The blue light looks nice at night as well. I just took the filter out to clean it tonight, and it was very easy to clean. You just take it out of the bottom, I used a soft brush to clean the dust off the cylinder, which has a screen around the actual filter, which keeps the dust on the outside of the filter so the dust doesn't get all through the actual filter, so it lasts a long time. I've only cleaned it once since I bought it, and after I brushed it off, it still looks and works like brand new. I also really like being able to put drops of scented oils in the top so it puts off a nice scent, it helps me relax. It has 3 settings, low, medium, high. I don't think it's too loud on high, but I actually use it as "white" noise to help me sleep better. I use mine on high a lot because I smoke and it helps with the smell, and it filters out the smoke and it helps so much! I can definitely tell the difference if it's not on.
