This means these are going to be great for model dioramas in that scale, but they're WAY over the scale for your miniature bases for tabletop wargaming if you're concerned about realism. Most tabletop wargaming items are 28mm to 32mm scale, which is roughly 1/64 scale according to wikipedia, so these are a little under double the size they should be to scale for wargaming. Leaves are about 5 mm in length. However, I don't really care about scale when I build terrain, and base models, because I play warhammer40k and "scale" is just a suggestion. I just picked up a leaf from my lawn, sat down and made a whole pile of little leafy bits to put in resin for a swamp diorama. I used to tear up teabags and use the loose tea as leaves, which is still a totally fine option, but the tea sometimes reacts with the water used in the sealing glue and I wind up with a stain where I don't want it. Using different colored leaves is better, you get a nicer effect when the leaves are mixed and just a little bit different from one another. Of course, you can use paper in this too! I wouldn't recommend that you use anything thicker than construction paper, I tried it on a basic business card and it required more force than I was comfortable with using on the thing. It seems to be made from tin, because based on the size of the die and the weight, there's no way this is made from steel. This does exactly what it says it does!. It just might not be right for your purpose, so review your purchases wisely! Review: Works great made 200-300 tiny leaf's already.
