Activate - Physics

The Oxford Smart Activate Physics Student Book motivates and inspires students to think like a scientist and see themselves as future scientists. A component of the Oxford Smart Curriculum Service, this book is part of a learning experience that holds high aspirations for all students, building on what they've learned at KS2 to ease progression to GCSE and beyond. Tried and tested by (UK) Pioneer schools to ensure that every aspect works for all students, all teachers, and in all secondary science classrooms, Oxford Smart Activate is the next evolution of the best-selling Activate series from series editor and curriculum expert, Andrew Chandler-Grevatt.

For schools following a separate sciences route, core Physics topics and skills are introduced to students using real-world contexts to create connections between their learning and the world beyond, encouraging students to recognise the impact that they have in this fast-changing world. Informed by up-to-date educational research, this evidence-based student book has been developed to support independent learning, embed metacognitive strategies, and inspire student curiosity in the awe and wonder of science.
