Kutná Hora: City of Silver
Master the intricacies of a dynamic supply and demand economy as you mine silver, expand your influence on the guilds and build a historic Czech city with beautiful Gothic cathedral. Do you manage to balance your personal goals with the prosperity and growth of the city? Or will a family heritage be created that will live on in the history books?
Kutná Hora is a historic urban building Eurogame for 2 to 4 people and offers a realistic supply and demand experience where each action has an impact on the game's dynamic economic systems.
In each round, people take turns selecting actions from a single hand of double-sided cards. They use them to engage in mining, buying land to build there, obtain permits, erect buildings for their affiliated guilds, make profits from their production and, of course, work towards the construction of the Cathedral of Saint Barbara. The asymmetric alignment of the guilds available to each person ensures highly interactive rounds in which each decision affects the economy and the other people in an interesting way as their mines expand and build an infrastructure on a common game board.
Mines ore and melts it into silver to expand this beautiful historic city. But make sure that the personal goal must be reconciled with the task of making the city grow. Everything is interconnected, and sometimes the path to personal victory depends on the prosperity of the crowd.
