Cowardly chicken! Who is the most cowardly chicken at the table? Cards are revealed one by one in the hope that your own card will fit. Uncover another card and risk collecting all cards from the middle and thus most likely minus points? Or would you rather play it safe and take the top card on the discard pile instead? Someone calls "Cowardly chicken!" – and suddenly the decision is much trickier. How to play cowardly chicken! MBE3: * Put 3 cards aside unseen and divide the remaining cards evenly among you. * When you are on the turn, uncover the top card of your concealed stack and place it in the centre of the table. * If there is already a card in the centre of the table, then try to put either the same colour or a lower number. If you do that, the next person is on the train. If you can't do it, then you burst and have to take all the cards in the middle of the table. * If you do not want to put a card, you can alternatively get out. Take the top card of the storage pile. * But beware: everyone else can "Cowardly Chicken!" call and challenge you. If a person challenges you, they can give you the top card of their pile in case you get out. * If a person has no more cards, the game ends. Now uncovers the three cards laid aside. Each of your remaining cards that matches one of these three card values is worth a minus point for you. * Whoever has the fewest minus points after three passes wins!
