The Pebbles blocks are shaped and smoothed, then colored by hand in non-toxic water based stains, which leaves a pleasing matte finish that is perfect for stacking. This finish allows the natural wood grain to show through on the surface, and prevents the blocks from slipping easily when building and stacking.
