WWE 2K15 heralds a new era of WWE video games and brings the gaming experience fans have wanted for generations. By collaborating with Visual Concepts and Yuke's, focusing on gameplay, graphics and audio enhancements, and brand new game modes, WWE 2K15 will become the most authentic, rich, and action-packed WWE video game experience ever.

For WWE 2K15, Visual Concepts has teamed up with veteran development studio Yuke's to bring the WWE video game experience to the next generation. Visual Concepts, already praised for developing the popular NBA 2K series, will also use its vast wealth of experience at WWE 2K15 to implement development processes, gameplay innovations, authentic sports simulation feel and much more.

WWE 2K15 will provide a much better gaming experience as important innovations and improvements will be used to determine the entire range. With all-new motion capture technology, better animations and a whole host of features not yet announced, WWE 2K15 will become a premium sports simulation that is in no way inferior to WWE's TV and live offerings.

WWE 2K15 will use the well-known capture technology of the NBA 2K range, highlighting special head, body and face features to make the superstars more realistic than ever before (PS4 and Xbox One only). The enhanced presentation uses a wide range of lighting effects to display the (skipped "included") WWE Superstars and Divas, which now look much more lifelike and natural.

WWE 2K15 is a step closer to the WWE experience on TV with significant improvements in sound depth and sound quality. The in-game commentators feature five times greater language repertoire compared to the previous titles in the series. In addition, all sound effects in the ring are reworked to make the battles even more captivating.

"It was already a special moment in WWE history when Shawn Michaels was able to prevail against five other superstars in the first Elimination Chamber match after an 18-month break at the 2002 Survivor Series and ultimately win the World Heavyweight Championship. The subsequent victory party in the ring still provides goose bumps for many wrestling fans. This is exactly the moment the developers of Yuke's – among many others – captured in the new WWE 2K15.

The heart of the game is the new mode called "2K Showcase". This is almost the counterpart of the Wrestlemania mode from its predecessor. However, the new game variant is designed slightly differently. The focus is on two of the biggest and most significant feuds since the beginning of the new millennium. It is about the controversy between the aforementioned Shawn Michaels and Triple H (2002 to 2004), as well as the dispute between John Cena and CM Punk (2011 and 2013).

In each of these two feuds, you will contest numerous matches that took place in the real WWE - including the events around the ring. Due to the repeatedly recorded HD videos as well as the great original comments by Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole, an incredibly intense atmosphere is created that absolutely meets the two feuds. Particularly attractive are the events interspersed in the middle of the matches, which provide additional variety and excitement. For example, if Vince McMahon suddenly intervenes in a fight and at the same moment you are given a certain task to perform a finishing move as soon as possible, then the "Big Time Feeling" of the WWE sets in.

"The core mechanics of the game also work almost never before. The game speed has been noticeably reduced, which simplifies the entry for newcomers but also benefits veterans. The action in the ring is now more geared towards technically demanding wrestling that puts more emphasis on the tactical selection of moves. Responsiveness is still important, especially when countering enemy attacks, but is no longer necessarily the sole key to victory. ...

In addition, chain wrestling has been introduced in which you have to specifically select one of several handles, all of which behave according to the scissors-stone paper principle. Then it is important to find the right contact point with the analogue stick and you have already played out your advantage or fixed your disadvantage. These moves are rarely crucial to the outcome of the match, but can be a good means to steer the battle in a different direction and move from the defensive to the offensive. If desired, you can also deactivate chain wrestling. ...

The so-called showcase mode, by recreating two of the best feuds in recent WWE history, is extremely successful, fun and overall very interesting. Both the Summer of Punk, the rivalry between CM Punk and John Cen,a and the end of the friendship between Tripple H and Shawn Michaels are prepared here in playable form."
