Review: Assurance Wireless compatible - Update March 2026: If you
have Assurance Wireless, stay away from this phone. At first it
was great, but now that these phones are auto updating themselves
to Android 16, they are turning into useless bricks. No calls
coming in, or going out. It's not just my phone, I did some
research and everyone who owns a Revvl 7 is having similar
problems. It's way past the 30 day return window so now it's my
loss. Original Review (December 2025): I'm thrilled, what a great
phone. I was able to connect it to Assurance Wireless and it's
working great. This pro version has a beautiful screen and was
worth the upgrade. It's big though, and heavier than your average
cell phone, but I still love it. It's very fast, 5G compatible,
takes both regular SIM (nano size) and eSIM. To connect it to
Assurance Wireless you have to call them and they'll register the
SIM card over the phone. Just swapping in your existing SIM into
the new phone won't do it, you have to call. The phone arrived
brand new, sealed in the box, and unlocked.
Review: GREAT PHONE but BE AWARE! - (update March-6-26) I got a
year out of it. If you have Assurance, and you get a forced
update to Android 16 it will brick it. It comes with 15 and THAT
WILL WORK if you follow what I wrote below but your taking the
chance on this phone, at this time, with Assurance. I am 2 weeks
without it and figuring out my next step. Only get 5G
data/internet service, no IMS or VoLTE service. I don't know why
the Revvl8 is not yet on their listings here. (end update) The
phone boots as ASSURANCE wireless. The phones are VERY NEW any
the IMEI (the phones personal identification) are not registered.
First, let it transfer your files to your new phone. (You can use
USB C-to-C cable or wireless transfer.) Much easier if you have
WiFi or Hotspot. To make it work, go to your phones SETTINGS,
then NETWORK, then INTERNET, then hit SIM and do what it says.
Call your provider (the employees follow a script and have no
clue what they are doing and may just tell you it won't work, but
if you follow this, it should) If it still does not work, ask for
a tech or supervisor with a common accent, and ask them to
"Whitelist" your IMEI. To get the IMEI# just tap *#06*. These
phones have two IMEI, choose the first one. It works great if you
give it a bit of patience for setup. It may take a few swaps of
the SIM card before you are finished. This phone would cost $100
more purchased in store.
