Review: Effective blender for protein smoothies - It does the job and it does it well. It can handle frozen things to make a smoothie. It's probably the largest blender I've owned, which I'm okay with though it's a little larger than I need. The blades are tough. They create the smoothie quickly. No leaks so far. In terms of downsides, be very careful around the blades. With the blades extending up through the center of the pitcher, it is easy to get cut. Also, it can be a little tough to arrange the frozen items around the center blade. But as long as you are careful, this works really well.
