Wen plugged in via USB, Windows automatically makes it the default speaker and microphone. This is a great device for conference calls, Teams meetings and Zoom meetings. It provided much improved sound over the laptop built-in microphone and speakers. This can also connect to a mobile phone or PC via Bluetooth. I have not had the opportunity to use the Bluetooth function yet, but with the sound quality experienced so far, I'm sure it won't disappoint. I’d been using speakers that had been used for music, not knowing any different. I assumed the background noises, the echoing and other distortions were the fault of the atmosphere at the other site or poor internet connection. With some frustration I looked up “speaker for voice “. After reading the reviews this item seemed the best choice. (It didn’t hurt that the manufacturer also made my hearing aids). I couldn’t believe the difference! The sound is as clear as a voice on the phone. It has vastly improved the quality of the service I provide as well as my satisfaction with the process. (One slight annoyance is that when I came back to write the review, the price had gone down $10.)
