A grooved hex shank helps prevent slipping in the drill chuck or bit extension. The quick-change shank reduces slipping in standard chucks and fits virtually any standard 1/4-inch quick-change chucks. The Irwin Speedbor 7/8-by-6-Inch Max Spade Bit is a fast speedbor spade bit that features a Tri-Flute design with a fast chip ejection.
