Review: Good solid ninja racks - The original wire racks for the
ninja double stack were rusting after using and washing them.
These new GCQ are much thicker rungs and importantly appear to be
a good stainless or non ferrous,so should perform much better
time will tell
Review: Very Well Made from Quality Stainless Steel - This wire
rack is designed specifically for the Ninja SL401 DoubleStack XL
air fryer. If you have that model I am sure it will fit
perfectly. However, I got it for use in a Ninja DG155UK, and it
proved unsuitable. That was entirely my fault: the dimensions are
clearly stated in the listing, but I chose to ignore them and be
guided instead by the pictures of roast chicken, carrots and
chips, which made it appear larger than it actually is. It was
unsuitable because the rack was slightly too wide for the air
fryer basket and too small to be useful in the roasting tray. The
rack itself is very well made from welded stainless steel. It is
the genuine article — the steel is non-magnetic and therefore not
a cheaper plated alternative. The welds are cleanly executed with
no spatter, and the cut edges have been fettled to remove any
sharpness from the manufacturing process. The rack is very rigid
and does not flex, which is to be expected as it is made from 3mm
diameter wire throughout. The rounded corners, clearly intended
to suit the SL401 basket, also give it a smart, finished
appearance. My intention had been to use the rack to lift bacon,
sausages and similar items clear of the bottom of the air fryer
tray, keeping them out of the fat released during cooking. In its
current form it does not quite allow that. A simple design change
— extending the “legs” of the handles by 10–15mm to raise the
rack slightly higher — would enable this use and improve air
circulation. As it stands, this is a very well made product that
complements the build quality associated with Ninja air fryers.
Provided you order it for the correct model, it represents good
value at just under £12.
